Transforming dental education

In March, Professor Raman Bedi (Chairman of GCDFund) attended the mid-year meeting of the International Association of Dental Students (IADS) in Strasbourg, France. He spoke at the Panel Discussion "Developing and Training the New Generation of Dentists to Address Complex Health Challenges of the 21st Century”.
 
The aim of this session was to bring oral health specialists together with dental students to discuss how best to transform dental education to align with the needs of populations worldwide. The conversations on the day helped to model good practice solutions that serve the needs and interests of students.
 
This interactive panel also featured :

• Dr Stéphanie Tubert-Jeannin – President of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
• Dr Paula Vassallo – Vice President at European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH).
• Dr Marian Sedlak – The International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA)
