If we are to achieve the aim of eradicating preventable dental disease, we need to train a cadre of public health leaders who can drive forward progressive agendas and spearhead systemic change at local, national and global levels.
Offering a unique platform for networking, learning and skill development, our Senior Dental Leaders Programme (SDL) is designed to develop these leaders.
Now in its 13th year, the benefits of the programme have been overwhelmingly positive. Many alumni have organised successful prevention initiatives in their home countries, and established international public health programmes.

Social Responsibility
The need to advance ethical and social responsibility is hardwired into all of our activities, whether we are implementing direct-intervention programmes, training dental leaders or helping coordinate regional dental services.
Network Building
The need for coordinated, continent-wide dental health networks for Africa and the Pacific was established during discussion with delegates at our sixth Senior Dental Leaders meeting in London in 2012.
