Professor Raman Bedi Becomes Clinical Director At Dentaid
Professor Raman Bedi has joined UK-based charity Dentaid as its Clinical Director. The appointment commenced on June 1st and was warmly welcomed by Dentaid Chief Executive Andy Jong. "I am delighted to welcome Raman as part of our team and anticipate that his contribution to Dentaid's future goals will be extremely valuable. We are planning to work on some important initiatives together to address our shared concern for the global oral health situation".
Professor Bedi will undertake his role on a pro bono basis whilst chairing the Global Child Dental Fund and continuing his work as Head of the International Centre for Child Oral Health at Kings College, London.
Speaking about the appointment Raman said, "This is a natural progression for me and will allow Dentaid to identify projects to fund around the world. We have established 14 country based taskforces and these comprise of the local dental leadership in that country. Not only will these teams better understand what needs to be funded they can help in the organization of the relief work. I have long been aware of the great work of Dentaid and am looking forward to being actively involved in its mission to improve oral health care for disadvantaged communities".
