Dr Stephen Marshall
Dr Marshall received his BA from Case Western Reserve University, DDS degree from SUNY Buffalo College of Dental Medicine, and MPH degree from Columbia University. He is currently the Senior Associate Director at Family Health Centers NYU Langone (formerly Lutheran). Prior to joining the Family Health Centers he was faculty at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine for 25 years and held various administrative appointments including Senior Associate Dean.
Dr Marshall is an outcomes-driven dental leader with 25+ years of experience designing and implementing community based dental programs. These programs have targeted underserved groups including children, the elderly, and the homeless. These service programs have served as a framework for education and research. Almost all of these programs have involved dental students and students from other health sciences programs and have generally included other health service providers. He has a successful track record of problem solving and innovation with demonstrated accomplishments and expertise in: Strategic Development/Implementation, Productivity/Process Improvement, Network Creation and Expansion, Community-Based Program Development, Space Planning / Project Management. His academic accomplishments as an Associate Professor of Dentistry include over 40 peer reviewed publications, Fellowship and grant support from multiple governmental and philanthropic entities, and teaching multiple courses.
Dr Marshall is licensed to practice dentistry in New York State. He is married and has two grown children.
