Dr Nalumino Sayela was born in Kitwe, Zambia. He attended school at the University of Zimbabwe and obtained his BDS in 2006. He also holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Zambia and another Diploma in Dental Sciences from the Dental Training School, Lusaka. Currently he is studying for a master’s degree in Orthodontics in the Phillipines. Dr Sayela has spent his entire Dental career as a trainer of Dental personnel in his country. He is also an active member of the Zambia Dental Association and served as the Association General Secretary from 2009 to 2012. He has also been involved in the training of Medical personnel on Oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS and other STI’s through national workshops. Dr Sayela also serves in the capacity as professional liaison and advisor to Options for children in Zambia. Options provide oral health services and infrastructure support to vulnerable population, targeting children and rural communities.
