Dr Fernando Jong is a general dentist practitioner at Dili National Hospital and he has a private clinic in Dili, Timor Leste. He graduated in dentistry from the Gadjah Mada University, Jogjakarta, Indonesia in 1999 and later obtained a Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma from the University of Adelaide, Australia. He has been involved in rebuilding the oral health care system in Timor Leste following the country’s independence. He has a particular interest in dental public health. Lastly, he is involved in teaching at a dental therapist school in Dili.
