Dr Chun Hung Chu
Dr Chun Hung Chu, BDS, MDS(Paed Dent), PDipDS(DPH), PhD, FRACDS, FRACDS(DPH), FDSRCSEd, MAGD, ABGD (Hong Kong, China).
Dr Chu is a Clinical Associate Professor (Community & Family Dentistry) in the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. He is Assistant Dean in Research & Innovation, Assistant Director of Centralized Research Laboratory, and Chairman of the Faculty Undergraduate Admission. He is also Honorary Secretary of the South East Association for Dental Education (2010-2012). His research interests include caries prevention and management, clinical uses of silver diamine fluorides and community dental care. He has published more than 40 journal articles and 80 conference abstracts.
Dr Chu is a Fellow in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry. He has been admitted as one of the three inaugural Fellows in Dental Public Health by the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2011.
Dr Chu is married to Shela and has two daughters, Samantha and Stephanie. They are Evangelical Christians and attend Alliance International Church. They serve in Christian small group fellowship, and have joined missionary visits to Mainland China, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines.
