In addition to our Smiles & Hope work with orphanages in Tanzania, we are also building an African Oral Health Network.

The main goals of the network are to create a platform for dentists across the African continent to share experiences, expertise and resources in order to to improve child oral health care and to enhance leadership development in Africa.

Currently we are collaborating with the Kenya Association of Pediatric Dentists on a programme of activities aimed at increasing dental capacity throughout Eastern African.

A second network programme is an innovative project which will transform the  Muhimbili University Of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Dar es Salaam into a financially sustainable Oral Healthcare Enterprise Service.

You can read more about developments with these projects by clicking the 'related news' item to the right of this page.

As the network grows, we plan to work on both oral and general health initiatives in as many African countries as possible
